Richard Clarke
Richard has been involved in Andover Pool for nearly 15 years and has been at the heart of the local scene for most of that journey. With officer roles held in all but one of those years, and six years currently proudly served as Chairman, his involvement has been driven by genuine passion, commitment, and a deep belief in what the game can be.
Richard is dedicated to making pool in Andover and Hampshire more than just a competitive sport. For him, it’s about community — creating a welcoming, inclusive environment, encouraging participation at all levels, and continually driving the game forward. That same passion is what led him to take on a role at county level, recognising the potential to further develop the sport, support players, and help shape a positive future for blackball pool beyond the local scene.
Away from administration, Richard is the owner and director of the Andover Open and co-owner of Evolve Eight Ball, both founded to deliver high-quality events and meaningful opportunities for players. He is also a proud team member of Lola’s Pool Party, firmly believing that staying active on the table keeps him grounded and connected to the players he represents.
Central to everything Richard does is the belief that success comes from working together. He is proud to be part of an incredible team at both local and county level, and values collaboration, trust, and shared ambition as key to continuing the growth of pool in Andover, Hampshire and beyond.
